Developers officially broke ground on the highly anticipated River House condominium project on June 5, 2006. The new condo tower, which will stand next to Bridgewater Place on the banks of the Grand River, will rise 391 feet high and feature 34 floors of luxury condominiums. Upon completion in late 2008, River House will become the tallest building in downtown Grand Rapids.
Located at 377 Bridge Street, River House is the latest condo project organizing around the Health Hill medical hub. The project joins the Fitzgerald, Icon on Bond, and Park Row Condominiums as the latest major residential project geared towards health professionals and other affluent residents seeking to live in the central city.
River House will add 206 new residential units ranging in size from 900 to 4,500 square feet to the downtown market. Features include hard wood flooring, granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, private patios, floor to ceiling glass windows, and panoramic views of the city. Prices range from $226,000 to $550,000 and some 100 units have already been pre-sold.
