MODUL8: Beats of the new

Friday, Oct. 9, 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
There are a lot of events connected to ArtPrize happening in the downtown district, but one in the heart of the city is all its own. And we are better for its offering.

Building off a string of education events that have come before, it is the debut of MODUL8, a collective music-focused effort by local champions made up of independent artists with strong credentials in the underground music and counter-culture.

On Friday, October 9th at Bar Divani’s Gallery Divani space, locals seeking to deepen their access to fresh beats alongside the debut of eclectic sounds being produced in Grand Rapids will want to gather here.

Musically this evening will include artists DJ/musician Myles Sergé, a bit of a ‘Reclusive Perfectionist’ with influences from early Detroit and Chicago electronic music; Nešto, a perfecter of the Detroit Techno sound; and Sylock’s (Matthew Perrin) blended brand of Drum and Bass, Techno, House, Bass, Breaks, Experimental and Hip Hop.

The night will include visuals provided by Andrea Catalano, George Eberhardt of WMCAT, SiTE:LAB’s Eric Kuhn, Marco Riolo, Trevor Rowley, Allison Scheer,
Elena Solis, and Randy Visser.

And this local music and arts night school education will only set you back $5. For those 21 or older.
