Whitehall plans nearly $1M in road, downtown improvements

Tourist season is here, and as boaters and summer residents descend on Whitehall, the city is giving thought to beautification and infrastructure enhancements that include street upgrades, downtown streetscape improvements, and marina improvements that could cost the city some $1 million.

According to excerpts from the story:

Motorists on Mears Avenue would be in for a smooth ride, and Internet users would be more informed about Whitehall happenings if city leaders' highest-priority goals are realized.

City council members, staff and interested residents helped compile a list of city goals for the next two years. The council recently ranked and approved the items on the list, which provides a guide for city staff.
