MDOT leader links roads to healthy Grand Rapids economy

In a special to the Grand Rapids Press, Kirk Steudle of the Michigan Department of Transportation recently spelled out the state’s commitment to good West Michigan roads.

According to excerpts from the story:

Between 2000 and 2005, the Grand Region received 16.6 percent of major capital highway investments by the state, totaling $769.9 million, while constituting 12.5 percent of the state’s population.

The truth is that in ways large and small, we have come through for West Michigan, with an eye toward the future. Grand Rapids Press readers can rest assured that our strong commitment to the people and the transportation system of West Michigan will continue.
