Wellness program worth its weight in savings

After three years of operation, Amway’s corporate wellness program is paying dividends in terms of savings for health care costs and higher fitness levels. According to an excerpt from the story in MLive: “For every $1 we spend, we get $2 back in savings,” said Tom Boehr, manager of Amway’s corporate wellness program Optimal You. In 2010, data show the three-year-old program came out ahead for the first time. The fact that the program is having positive results so soon is impressive, Boehr said.
