Baudville acquires Atlanta firm, plans to add jobs in West Michigan

Baudville, an awards and recognition company based in Grand Rapids, has acquired a majority stake in Atlanta-based employee recognition company hi5 Recognition, LLC. With the acquisition, Baudville anticipates new jobs, new opportunities for staff, and revenue growth.

According to Cori Curtis, marketing communication specialist, the job impact of the acquisition will begin in early 2013. “There will be a couple of people telecommuting from Atlanta, but we are going to be adding jobs here. All the operations and customer support will be moving to West Michigan. We also anticipate more jobs above and beyond the existing hi5 team will be created in 2013.”

Curtis describes hi5 as “forward thinking,” adding that their web-based platform for service awards and performance incentives will complement the existing services that Baudville currently offers. “We’ll now offer comprehensive employee recognition programs for our customers — everything from day-to-day recognition to annual service awards. The additional services will lead to greater market share, growth, and opportunities for our entire company.”
