The Barden Assembly Plan at Lacks Enterprises was recently recognized for its commitment to workplace safety.

It is the second time that Lacks has won the Ergonomic Innovation Award  from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA),  an organization focused on recognizing efforts to reduce ergonomically related injuries and illnesses.

According to Jenn Groendyke, public relations and communication specialist at Lacks Enterprises, the award is very exclusive. “Its a long, detailed process to submit the documentation,” relates Growendyke. “Not many have won twice.”

Although the award is focused on initiatives related to workplace safety, Lacks is also experiencing significant job and sales growth, including adding over 600 people in the last two years.
