Amid a city-wide push to upgrade parks and develop quality of place for all residents,one century-old veterans park that many residents haven’t even heard of is getting a major facelift thanks to some private organizations. That facelift includes wheelchair accessibility for the very people the park honors, Grand Rapids veterans.

Grand Rapids – Grand Rapids has a Veterans Park that that veterans can’t even get to.

That is about to change thanks to the help of our generous city. It’s been around for almost a hundred years, on the grounds of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
