Holland marina makeover aims to attract talent and tourists

A marina that’s been in operation for some 60 years got the go-ahead to add several attractive living and working spaces that could draw a number of professionals to the area, as well as provide more retail shops for tourists and vacationers.

A marina that’s been in operation for some 60 years got the go-ahead to add several attractive living and working spaces that could draw a number of professionals to the area, as well as provide more retail shops for tourists and vacationers.

By next spring the Yacht Basin Marina will provide a variety of different facilities for customers and clients.

The Park Township Planning Commission Tuesday approved a site plan for special uses at the marina, 1862 Ottawa Beach Road.

Managing partner Tom Den Herder explained the uses will include a two-level restaurant, office space, retail and living/work spaces.
