Academy to stay in Muskegon

Citing its favorable location as a contributing factor to the decision to stay in Muskegon, this public school’s board has asked for, and received, an extended lease agreement.

A Muskegon charter school that originally was to relocate to Dalton Township is setting firm roots in the city of Muskegon.

Three Oaks Public School Academy, 1212 Kingsley, will continue to lease school grounds from Western Michigan Christian High School. The current two-year contract expires in August, and instead of renewing for two more years, the Three Oaks school board asked for and received a five-year contract, which is through 2011.
