Monte’s on Bridge Street recently finished extensive renovations and again is open to the public. The bar remains popular among young urban professionals.

According to excerpts from the story:

It didn’t take long for loyal bar patrons to figure out that Monte’s, a popular Bridge Street NW watering hole, reopened after months of remodeling. The bar opened April 20 for a private party. By the next day — its official reopening — the line to get in snaked a block down the street.

A new bar was installed. Hip new lights hang from the ceiling and new windows cover the front of Monte’s. New bathrooms were added. And a massive cigarette smoke clearing system was installed.
