There has never been a better time for the fashionistas to gather to shop and to view a runway show than this weekend at the launch of Grand Rapids Fashion Week.
What intrigues me first is why it is called Fashion Week when the event only takes place over Saturday and Sunday, but I am guessing that the event planners see this first year show as one that will grow with time.
Besides the chance to view collections on the racks from nearly 30 boutique shops for men and women, the fashion runway shows are the real reason to venture down and score a seat to catch all the action on your Flip.
There will be plenty of shows to choose from over the weekend but if I were you, sources insiders from the event claim that the Saturday 7:30 PM show is THE SHOW not to miss.
Not only will the VIPs be out en force but also the runway show (as well as all the shows this weekend) will feature the hot new talent in heels and loafers from the Matthew Agency.
The event is the brainchild of Angie Austin of Renee Austin Boutique who really wants to bring attention to the amazing fashion selections that are ready to purchase within the 616.
Attendees are also encouraged to use their tickets to gain access to the after parties at Eve and Crush at the B.O.B.
Admission: $15.
