One of my favorite moments in life is the opportunity to gather with friends to break bread together and slip into the lazy ease of the summer sun as it heats up the city.

This Sunday, the local B Corp “missionary” doing the most to promote the experience of collective dining is East Hills’ Brewery Vivant, who is extending an invite to folks to join them for a special outdoor dining event complete with a roasted pig with all the fixings.

And with all apologizes to my vegetarian friends, for $14 you will receive a sizable heap of roasted pork, a baked potato and slaw.

They have even brewed Beasts A’Burnin’ – a special beer created just for the occasion that you can sample or take home with you after the event. But don’t expect it on the shelf at your favorite market, as Beasts A’Burnin’ is only available in cans for take out at the brewery. This new brew is the creation of Vivant’s head chef Chris Vander Meer and head brewer Jacob Derylo who has created the cool elixir to wash down your “smoky swine.”

Turn off the backyard grill and get to this first time event. But don’t delay; it starts at noon and runs until the pork runs out.

Admission:  $14.
