USA Cycling has named a Grand Rapids women’s pro-caliber cycling event to its National Racing Calendar for the first time ever, a coup for the event which is only in its second year.

USA Cycling has named a Grand Rapids women’s pro-caliber cycling event to its National Racing Calendar for the first time ever, a coup for the event which is only in its second year. Organizers expect over 200 athletes and 6,000 spectators.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Aug 25, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Priority Health officials announced today that Spectrum Health has been named the title sponsor of the pro-women’s race at the Second Annual Priority Health Grand Cycling Classic on Saturday, Sept. 6. The women’s cycling race is a pro-caliber event, highlighted on USA Cycling’s National Racing Calendar. This is a first for Grand Rapids.
