On November 1, Northpointe Bank officials gathered with city dignitaries to dedicate the bank’s new facility at Northpointe Park, the former Duba’s Restaurant property at the East Beltline/I-96 interchange. Built to LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) standards, the building will serve as the corporate headquarters for Northpointe Bank and its lending subsidiary, Northpointe Lending.
Officials have applied for LEED certification and are awaiting the results.
LEED features include: the use of water-based, low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paints and stains; natural daylight illumination in 75% of the office spaces; energy efficient lighting systems; computer controlled heating and lighting to minimize energy use; six charging stations for electric cars; and recycling of construction waste, such as, wood, drywall, steel, and paper.
“The basement of the building contains training rooms and a workout facility for employees,” said Scott Patchin, assistant vice president of planning and people development.
The headquarters offers 3 walk-up teller stations, 3 private consulting suites, 3 drive-thru lanes, two customer sitting areas, financial television, two Internet banking kiosks, and a 24-hour drive up ATM. The third floor has approximately 18,000 square feet of office space available for lease.
Integrated Architecture was the architect. Construction was handled by Lamar Construction.
Northpointe Park covers 10.8 acres. Completion of the park includes a Country Inn and Suites hotel and an Uno Chicago Grille restaurant. Both will open next spring.
