You may have heard something about a Grand Rapids lipdup in the past few weeks. Well, not only is there a Grand Rapids lipdub, but there is the first lipdub performed solely by residents of a retirement community right here in our city as well.
Clark Retirement Community and Grand Valley State University joined forces to showcase the residents and services offered at Clark. And what an amazing job they did!
"Since the beginning stages of planning through post-production, the lipdub experience has been energizing for Clark residents and staff alike. The collaborative process with Grand Valley State University students and faculty has yielded an unparalleled sense of pride," boasts Clark Retirement's Fund Development Coordinator Anna Goddard. "The entire Clark community is glowing in the star treatment received from regional, national and international media, high profile blogs and even Michael Buble himself."
"We have received communications from around the world with personal accounts of how the lipdub has impacted the perception of life in a retirement setting," Goddard continues. "The innovative programming highlighted in the video and subsequent press coverage has differentiated Clark as one of the premiere communities in Grand Rapids."
What's next for Clark Retirement Community?
"While much is yet to be revealed, we continue to be thrilled by the unexpected rewards of this inspired project. Interest has increased in resident admissions and residents are being enlisted as extras in local movie productions," Goddard articulates. "Bottom line, we are all 'Feelin' Good' and could not be more pleased with the celebration of senior living the lipdub has ignited."
