DRUMLine Live – Strike Up The Band
If Fox’s Glee taught us the guilty pleasures of loving the glee chorus, then fans of the on-the-playing-field antics of the football game entertainment will absolutely love the arrival of DRUMLine Live — a touring marching band act inspired by the sleeper hit movie, “Drumline.”
Arriving in West Michigan just one day after the biggest day for football, The Super Bowl, DRUMLine Live marches triumphantly onto the FHPS Fine Arts Center’s stage with some sweet-sounding drums and plenty of booty-shaking brass.
Just in case you think this is just another from the field act gone Broadway, think again.
DRUMLine Live is an international musical experience paying homage to the historically Black college and university marching bands of the United States, where often-explosive choreography is partnered with energetic music.
A cast of 39 members bring their incredible feats of high-stepping band moves and precise dancing skills to the FAC as they cover pop music from all eras of time with a unique theatrical thread that elevates storytelling to a new level.
This show is sure to get your heart pumping and most of all your feet stomping to the beat. FAC will be rocking…and it will only be a Monday, to boot.
Admission: $38 – $50. Tickets are only available at the FAC box office.
