Atlanta developer rounds up local companies for River Grand

Duane Faust, an Atlanta-based developer, will visit Grand Rapids to generate interest in his proposed 36-acre River Grand project. Ten area companies have agreed to join the project.

According to excerpts from the story:

Two other developers, local team Moch International and Buffalo-based Barnes/Stevens, are competing with Faust to purchase the 16-acre riverfront site.

A task force reviewing the proposals has sent letters to all three asking for additional information on their projects.

That information includes an overview of steps required to make their development happen, the expected financial and organizational structure of their project along with the role the developer will play in the end product, the developer’s experience and plans to attract tenants and investors, and the amount of investment and jobs created by the project.
