Marketing firm moves to downtown Grand Rapids, looks to double staff in 2015

YAC.so, a West Michigan marketing firm, is on the move to downtown Grand Rapids. The new office will take up the entire 2nd floor of 300 Ionia SW with move in scheduled for around March 1st.

James Matthews, vice president of sales and marketing, says the move better positions the firm to recruit talent and service its customers. "It's a well thought out part of our overall strategy of creating a vibrant culture and bringing the firm closer to the growing urban tech community," he says. "We hope people start to get really excited to come into our new workspace and to be close to such an ever-changing community. This should result in better retention with team members and attract the people who will drive our business forward."

Matthews says the marketing firm has an aggressive hiring plan for 2015. "The goal is to double our support staff and our development staff by year end 2015. I would estimate several immediate openings in customer service, front and back end developers, retentions, accounting," he says. "We're also investing the most into growing our sales team. I am steadily filling 94 more outside sales positions in multiple markets nationwide this year."

Right now, Matthews says they have immediate openings. "If [people are] interested in exploring the opportunities with our company, we are looking to fill graphics design internship, part-time retentions, and customer service. A developer full-time position is available right now; we would love to chat with you soon."
