Grand Rapids digital signage firm develops innovative content management system

According to Jonathan Dodge, senior VP of business development and the newest member of the Freshwater Digital Media Partners, when it comes to creating content for digital marketing campaigns  top-tier retailers can always afford to produce new content, but the smaller retailers needed help.

Freshwater Digital Media Partners responded to that need by working together with Minneapolis-based Screenfeed to develop Wave, a content management system targeted to small and medium-sized retailers.

Dodge relates that "Freshwater always produced more inexpensive solutions for content, but when you have retailers that are still saying it was too expensive, we knew something new needed to be developed"

Digital signage is a common tactic for retailers to increase sales, but  adaption by smaller retailers has always been slower due to the costs.  However, with prices drastically being lowered for the purchase of the needed hardware, the only barrier to entry remains the creation of dynamic content.

Wave is designed to be both an inexpensive and easy-to-use system, both important features for the smaller retailers.

Dodge says that Freshwater's recent participation at the Las Vegas Digital Signage Expo totally validated Wave with extremely positive feedback.   At this time, Freshwater is the only firm selling this system and Dodge is optimistic that this new service will be a catalyst for future growth, including the addition of new jobs to their firm.
