Reagan Marketing + Design has hired seven people since moving from Monroe NE to Wealthy St. SE at the end of June 2011.
According to the firm's founder and president, Mary Reagan Shapton, the recent additions can be attributed to multiple factors, including an improving economy. The other factor that Shapton feels is relevant is the firm's cautious approach to fiscal matters in the last eight years. "We are very conservative and still approach everything conservatively," Shapton says. "We now can see longer term work and projects, so we are hiring."
The firm, which provides services to both a regional and national client base, has one position for a junior designer still open. Shapton is very confident in being able to fill it with local talent. "The talent pool is excellent right now," she says. "People are eager to work and willing to work really hard. It is a great outlook."
Shapton says their hiring process is not directed toward one type of personality or background, but rather for someone who can "embrace rapid change, work in a fast paced environment, and [who] is extremely detailed".
