For the Kidz Gymnastics expanding to larger facility, adding jobs

Founded in October 2005, For the Kidz Gymnastics is making a move to the next level with the construction of a new $1.5 million, 28,000-square-foot gymnastics center at 1391 Gezon Parkway in Wyoming.

Alisa Vance, owner and professional gymnastics instructor, says the move is directly related to growth and customer demand. "With the new facility we will be able to have an educational preschool program, new cheerleading programs, more open gym, more birthday parties, and more space for people to come in and practice parkour," she says.

Site preparation for the construction started on May 27 with a groundbreaking ceremony.  Midwest Construction Group of Zeeland is doing construction on the new building at the three-acre site on Gezon. Completion of the new For the Kidz Gymnastics center is planned for the fall of 2014.

With a new and bigger facility, Vance says she is looking to fill three full-time positions and add 10-15 coaches. She says they currently employ 25 part-time people at the small location.
