Sensing both a need for change and a business opportunity, Dart Frog Creative became the new name of Custer Studio.
With the name change came new expectations to grow their 3D rendering business beyond the furniture industry.
According to Gordon Whiteman, project and creative manager, "everyone in the company (six employees) is a creative and being only involved with furniture renderings could lead us to become stagnant."
As for the name, Whiteman says it will help with marketing efforts, especially as Dart Frog Creative ventures into new market segments.
"Custer is name is associated with the furniture industry," he says, "so we decided we needed a more creative name."
Already, the group has worked with companies that have not considered 3D rendering as an option. As an example, Whiteman highlights work they have done with a home manufacturing company that traditionally used photography to depict their work. Using Dart Frog Creative's services, they were able to save the client time and money by creating different images within the interior prior to build.
