Consulting firm finds sweet spot helping people and process

Mike Schuler, Ph.D., feels there is a better way to help individuals and organizations meet their goals and reach their potential.

Schuler, the founder of Mike Schuler Consulting, says his expertise is filling the gap between process improvement and personal development. "I have the business acumen to work operationally and also the ability to work with people to help them find joy and happiness in their careers and work."

Schuler's career trajectory includes stints in management and administration in large, complex organizations, but Schuler says like most people who are independent, he did not fit. "I was shouting at the moon and had no patience for working on a projects for months," he says. He also likens his consulting style to a surgeon. "You don't talk to a surgeon for 18 months. You meet with surgeon, have the operation, and go on your way. But you also need to have a high level of trust."

With organizational consultancy being a highly competitive industry, Schuler has launched a new website to help with his marketing efforts to supplement the word-of-mouth marketing that is critical to a small firm's success.
