ToolSelect.com is a robust website and online community with a mission to provide unbiased reviews on power tools. The reviews are courtesy of local "tool testers," who receive a power tool in exchange for a video review and demonstration of the product which is then featured on the site.
In what is quickly becoming the epicenter of creativity in Grand Rapids, the new website will be "officially" launching on Nov. 8 from their offices on the 3rd floor at 127 S. Division -- "officially" being the key word, because for the eight-member team of ToolSelect.com, the past several months have been a whole lot of work and a whole lot of online activity.
According to Gerry Barnaby, the ToolSelect.TV host and director of excitement, the site already has eclipsed 27,000 views for the month of October alone, during the "soft-launch phase."
All power tools that are reviewed are sent to ToolSelect.com, free-of-charge, without any expectations or understanding of how the reviews will turn out. Key for the manufacturers will be the exposure and unfiltered product feedback they receive.
Consumers access the site and can search by tool or manufacturer and view the videos, community reviews, and, as CEO/Founder Stephen Glaesman states "more detailed information on tool features than any other site."
Despite a successful prelaunch and deployment of the site, there is still much work to be done. Barnaby suggests if you are interested in being a tool tester or have video editing skills to contact him at
