"Our first event will focus on Touting Michigan," says Rapid Growth Media's Publisher Jeff Hill, and bring together state leaders who are "unabashedly passionate about reinvigorating our state's economy and image, and are doing something about it."
The speakers include Jon Bell of Michigan Awesome, Kevin Buist of Michigan by Choice, Lisa Diggs of Buy Michigan Now, Sean Mann of Let's Save Michigan, and Neil Yaremchuk of Made in Michigan. Jennifer Pascua from WZZM-TV will moderate the discussion.
Hill says the topics selected for future Speaker Series events will be those that are important to Rapid Growth Media's readers, such as urban vitalization, entrepreneurship, "green" technology, transit, economic development and innovation. Organizers hope to make the event fun and engaging.
"The events were started by our sister publication in Detroit, Model D, and are in partnership with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority," Hill says.
