Last September, Baudville leaders predicted the creation of 25 new jobs over 12 months. But they're doing more than that. The Grand Rapids awards and recognition company has already added six of those jobs and plans to still add the predicted 25 by January 1.
“Were moving from operational jobs in our call center and production area toward jobs that will create a new business opportunity for us, jobs in marketing, development, and e-commerce that will generate growth rather than react to growth,” says Brad Darooge, president and CEO.
“I think that in this economic climate where growth has slowed a bit, there’s no better time to find the right people and drive the growth,” he adds. “Now is not the time to get conservative on the wage growth, it’s the time to move ahead into the demand-creation types of positions.”
Baudville, which started as a video game company, creates custom awards and recognition items for companies and has a sister company, IDville, whose specialty is security ID systems.
This year, Baudville celebrates 25 years with activities and events planned throughout the year.
