Jim Edmonson may be leaving west Michigan for Louisiana. But he's making the move to help a Holland-based company expand its presence in the Gulf Coast.
Edmonson, the former president of Muskegon Area First, will establish an office of Whittaker Associates, a community development consulting firm, in Baton Rouge, LA. He'll also assume the title of vice president at the company.
"I am most excited to be working with Whittaker and bringing our collective expertise to the Gulf Coast and Southeast United States," Edmonson told the Muskegon Chronicle. "The need is great and the opportunity for business growth and development couldn't be better."
"I am proud to make Baton Rouge the location of our third office, and I look forward to working with public officials and corporate business leaders throughout the Gulf Coast region to assist with economic recovery," founder and President Dean Whittaker told the Chronicle.
