Foxbright plans to add sales and customer support jobs to handle new products the company plans to launch and the resulting sales increases. Last year the firm doubled their employees and tripled their office space when they consolidated their Muskegon and Grand Rapids operations into a 3,100-square-foot office in downtown’s Waters Building.
“We have put the brakes on growth for the last six months,” said Rob Huisingh, VP of sales and marketing. “But we’re in a position where we’re going to have to start growing again and that will happen by the end of this year.”
Foxbright helps organizations leverage the Internet to improve communications using applications based on a Content Management System (CMS). CMS makes it possible for individuals in an organization to use a web site as a communication tool without working through a third party.
For example, teachers might use their school’s web site to post teacher pages for students and parents. Administrators might use dynamic calendaring and facilities scheduling. Or, the superintendent might post a pod cast to establish personal communication with parents and teachers.
Huisingh says schools are under pressure to keep costs as low as possible, yet as competition increases, schools are squeezed by less and less funding.
“We help them develop a communication plan, and work with them to transform their web site into an effective communications portal,” Huisingh said.
Foxbright was formed in 2005 when Catherine Ettinger, Paula Whisman, and Huisingh merged two companies, Cordes Tech and H2ML.
In March the company received the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center’s 2006 Main Street Award for Best Small Business in Ottawa, Kent, and Muskegon counties.
