Fusion IT LLC expects to add two more systems engineers to its staff of eight this year, and, if current growth trends play out as expected, the firm could add another two each year over the next several years.
Service Technology LLC and Consultations Plus LLC joined forces in October to create Fusion IT, a full service technology solutions company. Since then, the company moved into its new digs at 401 Hall St. SW, Grand Rapids, and, last month, landed six new clients.
“We work with small to mid-size businesses and handle everything from a computer not starting to web development to creating secure virtual environments for their data systems,” says Curtis Irwin, director of sales and marketing.
The company also does consulting and has access to a variety of data professionals, enabling Fusion IT to provide clients with any data-related service they need, such as, integrating a new phone system with existing technology.
“The merger enables us to offer a wider variety of systems solutions to more people,” says Irwin, a cofounder of Service Technology. “It also gives our current customers more service options than they had before.”
The firm recently launched a new client service, the small business managed network, to handle expensive software licensing, virtual private networks, data security, remote backups, and more, for what Irwin says is a substantial cost savings.
The company’s goal is $1 million in sales by 2009.
