Kentwood fitness center Gymco, Aetna, JP Morgan, Plante Moran, and the Rapid, the regional transit agency, are the five finalists in the 18th Annual Employer Recognition Awards sponsored by the Grand Rapids Women's Resource Center.
The award aims to honor those companies that help to advance the success of women in the workplace.
"Often, women have leadership experience and they don't realize it, because they're leading in their homes," Doreen Bolhuis, founder and president of Gymco, told the Grand Rapids Press.
