Ladies Who Launch, a national organization that helps women start and expand businesses, has a presence in some 40 cities across the United States. One of the group's newest chapters is located in Grand Rapids, MI.
Established by Jacqueline Bethea Cuyvers, a former Chicago resident who now lives in Eastown, the local group aims to provide women with a variety of support services as they work to launch new creative ventures, including professional networking, financial planning, and brainstorming business ideas.
"You're going to move forward faster and not encounter the roadblocks you might encounter on your own," Bethea Cuyvers told the Advanced Newspaper.
A number of women looking to start or expand a company, or change careers, already have participated in group activities since it started in August 2006.
