GR CPA firm adds clients, three local jobs

By: Deborah Johnson Wood

In the past couple of months, the accounting firm of Donald D. Morgan PC CPA has doubled its office space, acquired 15 new clients, and formulated plans to hire three more employees. The firm is actually three separate companies—the accounting firm, the commercial finance firm CSA North American, and a securities firm—and business is obviously booming.

“I plan on bringing two or three more people into the office for payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable work at first,” says Vice President Bill Morgan, Donald Morgan’s son. “Depending on the growth, we may need a full-fledged accountant.”

Morgan says the company has been gearing up to provide non-profits with accounting and auditing services. They are already serving several non-profit clients, and plan to take on even more.

Until recently, the firm shared office space with another accounting firm in a nearby downtown building. The decision to grow the business was part of the reason for moving to the larger space. Right now, they are in a temporary office in the Waters Building while construction crews build out the new suite in the same building. Morgan hopes to move into the new offices on August 10.

Chris Beckering of Grubb & Ellis Paramount Commerce brokered the transaction.
