The Michigan Transfer Network is up and running.
The website, recently announced by Lt. Governor John D. Cherry, helps college students transfer course equivalencies between community colleges and universities.
It's also a reliable resource for selecting courses before a student enrolls and discovers another university doesn't accept the course.
"For example," Mr. Cherry says, "if you're a student looking to get a degree in veterinary medicine but choose to start first at a community college, this no-cost system will help you choose courses that will transfer to universities seamlessly, streamlining your time and saving the money you invest in your education."
The Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers created the web site in partnership with Michigan State University.
Students currently can transfer courses between 53 schools, including Calvin College, Davenport University, GRCC, GVSU, U of M, MSU, and Michigan Tech. New schools will be added regularly, as the site remains a work in progress,
