One year ago commercial real estate broker Olga Hallstedt started her own commercial real estate business. This week she announced that the company has tripled in size.
Results! by Olga Hallstedt Commercial Real Estate Services, P.C. expanded its staff to include a full-time marketing and technical director, and an administrative assistant.
“I list office and industrial buildings for sale, I lease on behalf of landlords, and I also represent users of buildings to lease or purchase the building,” Hallstedt says. “I also renegotiate leases on behalf of clients.”
Hallstedt works primarily with commercial spaces in the suburbs, but recently added some listings in urban Grand Rapids. She also works with clients who want to buy, sell or lease out-of-state properties.
“I act like their in-house real estate department and reach out to the other markets,” she says. “I find the person in that market to best represent them, and that broker works with the tenants or buyers and with me to get the most favorable lease and sale terms for the client.”
Hallstedt recently renegotiated an eight-year lease of 231,000 square feet of manufacturing space for Elan Nutrition and helped West Michigan Business Services purchase a 5,500-square-foot office condominium in Ada.
“I intend to add more brokers who are independent and will continue to grow the business,” Hallstedt adds. “I want them to take over some of it so I’m free to go out and play a little bit more.”
