Quixtar's $1.12 billion in North American sales set a new annual record for the U.S. subsidiary of Ada-based Alticor. The company credited a first-ever nationwide advertising campaign, several new products, and a 10 percent jump in online sales for the brisk business.
“This was another good year for the Quixtar business,” Jim Payne, Quixtar’s managing director, told Michigan Technology News. “We launched some new high-end health and beauty lines that helped sales. We also increased the percentage of sales generated at Quixtar.com, which helps bolster our ranking as the leading online health and beauty retailer.”
