Seven West Michigan firms recently landed on a list of the Top 50 Michigan companies to watch.
The list, compiled by the Edward Lowe Foundation, includes the following businesses:
- GMI Composites, a Muskegon-baed plastics maker
- Media 1 Interactive, a Grand Haven-based firm in specializing in the development of learning and training programs
- Crayon Interface, the Holland-based cell phone software maker
- EBW Electronics based in Holland
- Charter House Innovations, a Holland-based restaurant furniture maker
- Red Cedar Logistics of Norton Shores
- Supply Chain Solutions based in Grand Rapids
The firms will be honored in an April 12 ceremony.
"Michigan 50 Companies to Watch is a unique awards program designed to shine the spotlight on second-stage companies,” Mark Lange, executive director of the Edward Lowe Foundation, said in a prepared statement.
"When it comes to a robust economy, second-stage entrepreneurs play a critical role because they generate new jobs and sustainable growth,” Lange added. “And yet, they’re not often recognized or appreciated for the impact they have on the economy or the community.”
