Kendall launches three animation programs

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, in an attempt to “create an animation culture and market right here in Grand Rapids” has launched three new programs focusing on the field, according to Bill Fischer, the school’s chair of the digital Media program.

“We have simply grown to the point where we have enough students interested in animation to create specialized degrees,” says Fischer.

The new animation program now features three focuses: 2D, 3D and Motion Graphics animation, a logical step according to Fischer, who says that many of the students have already won numerous awards in animation.

The student animation reel is available online here. The site features work from Kendall’s interactive, print and animation courses.
