5/3’s new logo means business to local signmaker

With a new logo and a new corporate look, the new signs for 5/3 Bank are part of the largest image overhaul in nearly two decades. With so much riding on the visual impact of the campaign, the bank turned to a local signmaker they’ve trusted for 59 years.

According to excerpts from the story:

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP — The back of Valley City Sign’s plant and warehouse is like a graveyard for Fifth Third Bancorp.’s old identity.

Dozens of red, white and dark blue signs sit in a corner like stacked tombstones — never to adorn a bank or beckon a customer.

And that’s just fine with Randy Czubko, president of the employee-owned firm.
