According to excerpts from the story:

McKay Tower, the grand dame of Grand Rapids “skyscrapers,” has been sold to a Spring Lake man making his first major investment downtown. The 18-story building was purchased Friday by McKay Tower Partners LLC, a firm owned by Mark Roller, for an undisclosed price.

Roller, 35, operates an Internet consulting business and manages other real-estate ventures. He said the Grand Rapids real-estate market seemed ripe for investment.

“I’ve been watching the Grand Rapids real estate market really carefully,” Roller said. “I think this is the time to get in, not get out. I really see Grand Rapids on the cusp of exploding right now, just doing some great things.”
