After demolishing an indoor mall at the heart of downtown, and prepping the shore of Muskegon Lake for new residences and businesses, civic leaders are racking up the pace of redevelopment. So there's an air of confidence in the largest city on Michigan's West Coast.

Summer career program expands to serve more youth

The West Michigan Works! six-week paid summer program offers teens across seven counties real-world job experience, skills training, and career exploration. Applications are open now through May 5.
