Navigate the Holidays with an Environmental Mindset: Finally, a proactive lecture to ease your guilt

Thursday, Nov. 21, 12:00 p.m.
The Factory, 38 West Fulton
Each year we all participate in one way or another in the many holiday traditions that begin to pop up on your calendar, from office parties to the super bowl of all holidays: Christmas.

And yet at many of these events, we splurge on extras that often are great sounding at the time of purchase only to riddle the thinking person’s mind at the end with a gnawing question: what am I going to do with all this stuff now? (And often we just toss it in the trash and say, 'I will do better next time').

At The Factory, a downtown co-working space that just celebrated ten years in Grand Rapids, comes a solution via their lunchtime learning series, How to Navigate the Holidays with an Environmental Mindset, that is proactive and actually exactly what we need as we approach a season of parties and festive dinner gatherings.

This learning lunchtime gathering is hosted by Marta Johnson, a social entrepreneur and advocate for environmental issues, and will focus on the professional as well as the personal aspects of hosting a smarter holiday this year that finally helps put to rest all those guilty feelings of an unexamined party season.

This lunchtime learning is part of The Factory’s Expert Series and is free to members of The Factory. For other guests, it is just $5.00. You can easily sign up here at their Eventbrite site.

If you like this Expert Series, then please follow them on Facebook to learn more about their series of lunchtime instruction-focused, solutions-oriented events.
