Digital design firm adds staff, anticipates more jobs in 2013

Mark Bird is the newest member of brightly, a digital creative studio based in Grand Rapids, MI.

Bird is an award-winning designer, artist, and illustrator who has worked with companies like Apple, Canon, Meijer, Haworth, Steelcase, Toshiba, and X-rite. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids and completed additional studies at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

According to Larry Faragalli, owner/creative director, the addition of Bird to the the team will help the firm to meet the branding needs of their clients, who are primarily in the startup mode. “We have been primarily focused on digital space, but we also have a traditional design background. A lot of our clients are startups. They have a solid idea and business perspective, but not an established brand.”

With the larger team, Faragalli plans to focus more on business development and says that if business continues to grow as planned, brightly could be adding one more designer and user experience job in 2013.
