Summer is a great time to add a little extra something to your day. Why? Well, for starters, you are free from the burden of winter’s freezing grip as our days become filled with much-needed sunshine stretching long past 9 p.m. for the next few months. Why not add an activity to keep you under that glow?
For those seeking to amp up their summer activities, look no further than this
Paddleboard Yoga class on Reeds Lake.
This weekly class seeks to blend all the balancing fun and prowess of paddleboarding with the mind-calming practice of yoga.
This new sporting activity lasts 90 minutes and welcomes all stages of activity from beginner and beyond as participants will learn how to properly and safely paddle, followed by the opportunity to paddle on the water. Following this introduction, attendees will experience a continued hour of yoga performed on the paddleboard.
This activity takes place on Reeds Lake in East Grand Rapids behind the police station at the canoe/kayak launch. Anchored MI wants people to know that you do not have to own a paddleboard to participate, as they will provide them for this class.
This class is taught by Chris Martindale, a seasoned and certified PSUPA Flat Water Level 1 Instructor, Certified 40hr YogAqua SUP Yoga Instructor, World Paddle Association Class 1 Instructor, and Certified 200hr Yoga Teacher.
They are even offering a special two for $60 introductory rate for those who would like to share this experience with a friend, co-worker, or family member. If you plan to just show up, then plan to pay their $35 drop-in rate.
