Ada brings new parks director online

As Ada continues to enhance and expand its system of parks and bike trails, the city brings a new parks director on board to develop the vision to preserve marshland, eliminate invasive plants, and build education and recreation programs.

The new Ada Parks and Recreation director plans to focus on parks programs and open space preservation.

Mark Fitzpatrick, former director of Blandford Nature Center, began working as the new parks director last week, bringing to the job a background in agricultural, conservation, and working with school and community groups.
