According to excerpts from the story:

MUSKEGON — Dan Rinsema-Sybenga, who has come to be known around Muskegon simply as “Downtown Dan,” is now known too as Michigan Main Street Manager of the Year for 2008 for his work in the rebirth of Muskegon’s downtown.

And on another downtown front, a facade rehabilitation award has been won by Gary Post for his treatment of the former Century Club, now Hegg’s Gallery furniture store.
