After years of working together as separate organizations, ArtWorks
and the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts recently decided to merge into
one outfit. The move allows the organizations to improve their operations and

if we worked together year-round," UICA Executive Director Jeffrey
Meeuwsen said. "For the most part almost all programs will continue as
they have been."
