Leaders of one of the top auto dealerships in the state says their commitment to Muskegon prompted them to undertake a hefty $10 million rebuild and expansion, and a service expansion for American-made autos, that will update and upgrade the business along Henry Street, creating new jobs along the way.

The growing Betten auto group is consolidating its General Motors brands under one roof as it begins what could be amount to a $10 million expansion of operations along Henry Street.
Construction is well under way on doubling the size of the old Betten Chevrolet-Cadillac dealership at 2474 Henry in the city of Muskegon.
When it is completed by the end of the year, the 70,000-square-foot sales and service center also will include the Pontiac and GMC brands. Betten has been selling all four General Motors nameplates since March 2007 when it purchased the former Tom Miller Pontiac-Honda-GMC dealership on the west side of Henry Street.
