Right Place connects W MI biotech firms

Two West MI economic development agencies have united to promote collaboration among the region's life sciences companies and entrepreneurs. The groups will connect industry players through a new Web-based database.

According to excerpts from the story:

Southwest Michigan First and the Right Place Inc. have made it easier for companies involved in West Michigan's life sciences corridor to work together and conduct business locally.

A new online database was developed by the two organizations as a single resource to find suppliers, partners, and even customers for life science products, equipment, and services.

"Promoting inter-regional partnerships among our life science firms not only strengthens the entire cluster, it raises our profile for future investment and collaborative research opportunities," said Birgit Klohs, president of the Right Place Inc.
