Downtown Grand Rapids dining options are about to multiply with the
addition of a Mexican eatery operated by the owners of a dozen similar
restaurants. If the restaurant holds true to its style it will bring
casual, family-friendly dining to the downtown core.
According to excerpts from the story:
GRAND RAPIDS - A new Mexican eatery
called Cinco de Mayo and operated by two of the men who run El Burrito
Loco restaurants will take over the former Herkner Jewelers spot on
Monroe Center by this fall, according to building owner Locus
Development.
The restaurant is expected to be open for lunch
and dinner in the 2,800 square foot space that also fronts Ottawa
Avenue. The owners plan to apply for a liquor license through the
Downtown Development Authority. Owners Marco and Jesus Cuellar are part of a family-owned business that runs 12 other restaurants throughout Michigan.
